The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act is intended to provide public information from manufacturers and retailers regarding their efforts to prevent human trafficking and slavery. This allows businesses and consumers to make more informed decisions regarding the companies with whom they choose to conduct business and the products they choose to purchase.
Nortech is committed to conducting business only with suppliers who adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior and personal integrity within its business operations. Nortech itself stands against all forms of human trafficking and slavery, including any act of recruiting, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining a person for compelled labor or commercial sex acts through the use of force, fraud, or coercion. Nortech has undertaken many actions to ensure that the materials and services provided to Nortech meets these commitments. This includes requiring our suppliers to comply with Nortech’s Supplier Code of Conduct, applicable Nortech policies and manuals such as our Importers’ Forced Labor Policy, Anti-Corruption Policy and with all laws and regulations applicable to their business, including those laws relating to human trafficking and slavery. Nortech also has established accountability standards, including a Whistleblower Policy and reporting obligations, to ensure compliance with and participation by Nortech’s suppliers in efforts to address and eliminate slavery and human trafficking.
